Best tech accounts to follow on Twitter

The tech space can get pretty crowded on social media. It’s where you can share your thoughts and feelings on just about anything – so new phone releases or anything tech focused does become a big talking point!

But how do you sift through to find interesting people sharing their ideas on tech and smartphones? Well, you don’t have to! We’ve found some gems from the Twittersphere that you’ll want to follow for your daily dose of tech chat.

Evan Blass

Twitter handle: @evleaks

Evan Blass is arguably the most prolific – and famous – person who leaks information on flagship devices. He’s well informed and as a result, is highly respected within the smartphone world.

The account @evleaks first surfaced in 2012, but back then the account was anonymous. It wouldn’t be until the following year that Blass would unveil his identity. This was mainly due to the fact he felt that his identity would end up being revealed eventually anyway.

In 2014, Evan Blass announced his retirement from leaking devices as it was difficult to monetise a Twitter thread. He tried various ways to make money out of the information he was posting. Luckily for us, this retirement wasn’t a permanent thing and he was back posting leaks two years later.

When it comes to one of the most leaked phones in recent years, the Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL, Evan shared an image of both devices on social media that looks exactly like both phones.

This year, he unveiled the Blackberry KEY2, Huawei P20 and the Samsung S9.

Steve H.

Twitter handle: @OnLeaks

Another verified, certified phone leaker is Steve H using the handle @OnLeaks. For the last three years, Steve has summarised just how good his years have been in terms of what he has broken. In 2017, he boasted 32 leaks, 19 devices leaked 100% accurately and 7 that had 100% accurately leaked information. He leaked the iPhone X four months before it was unveiled.

This year, Steve has divulged the colour options for the Galaxy S10 (not set to be unveiled for four months), he’s shared images of the Sony Xperia L3 and shared information on the latest generation of iPhones.

Strap yourselves in because there is plenty more information to come on next year’s devices! It’s not just phones either.

Ice Universe

Twitter handle: @UniverseIce

Fully immersed in all things smartphone, Ice Universe shares all the content you could need or want when it comes to flagships.

The biggest players like Samsung and Apple are brought into the conversation but there is a heavy focus on the Chinese manufacturers. If these phones become more readily available – and it’s believed they will be, with providers lining up to be the exclusive carrier – it could mean major disruption for the mobile market. Foldable devices are coming, and Ice Universe is already well versed.

Discussed on their feed is the OPPO Find X with curved screens – OPPO devices have been tipped to land in the UK soon, but an exact date is yet to be revealed. Foldable device patents have been shared too; like OPPO’s foldable phone with triple screen.
